Green Smoothies are the best part of detoxing!! These delicious smoothies combine fruit and greens to kick start your day with cleansing nutrition.  They are easy to make, exceptionally nutritious and one of the best ways to get loads of greens into your body.
They also crowd out the desire to eat less nutritious foods.  With the right mix of fruit and greens they can be sweet enough to satisfy your sweets cravings while providing the real nutrition that your body is craving.  Best of all, they are a simple and delicious way to clear out toxins!

Green Smoothies can be made many different ways so adjust recipe according to taste, availability of ingredients and how cleansing you want them to be.

These ingredients will help balance your blood sugar, reduce inflammation, detox your organs and nourish your cells!

Basic green smoothie recipe Ingredients: (use organic whenever possible)

1 lg.fist full of any 1 or a combination of romaine, spinach, chard, beet greens, or kale
Several sprigs of pea shoots, or parsley (optional but a great for detox and upset stomach)1/2 banana or 1/2 apple

1/3 cup blueberries, or any type of berries(fresh or frozen)5 or 6 chunks frozen mango

1/2 chunk peeled fresh ginger(optional)

2 tsps. each -almond meal, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds or 5 or 6 walnuts (if you don't have all of these ingredients use 2Tbls. total of any of these ingredients. This is your protien so it is important to add at least 1 of these ingredients)

Almond or Coconut milk, purified or Coconut water (pour enough of 1 or any combination of liquids to barely cover other ingredients. After blending you can add more to create desired thickness)

1-2 tsps. of either Flax, Olive or Coconut oil (optional but a great anti-inflammatory ingredient)

Directions:
1.Fill your blender with ingredients in the order listed.
2.Blend for 1-2 minutes, or until very smooth.
3.Drink immediately or store in refrigerator or insulated container for up to 1 hour.

Important Tip: Drink your green smoothies on an empty stomach so they can digest properly (first thing in the morning or mid afternoon are great times).  Combining green smoothies with other foods may cause gas, bloating and indigestion.
